voicemail.

now picture this!


at exactly 1 am, i turned on my nokia 6260 to be invited by a few messages. (though disappointed for the nevercoming of one awaited message.)

i opened one message supposedly to be received at 3.51pm, telling me that i have 2 new voicemail messages. (because my handphone was purposely off at that point of moment due to reasons classified.)

so, i checked my voice message. first message was from dearmum furiously telling me to call her back.(ok so one of the reasons i off-ed the phone was to avoid her as we just had a tiff.)

on to second message..

MESSAGER : "RAB!! ni aku *****. YOU KNOW WHAT I WANT FROM YOU!!! CALL ME BACK ASAP!!!" *inserts furious tone ala2 tailongtakjadi*

And boy, my stomach automatically churned and i swore i panicked. in my head i was thinking like "omfg, what the heck does ***** want from me?? aper lagik yang tak kena ni! mampos!"

so i sms-ed the MESSAGER :

"Eh ***** kau msg aku eh? sorry lambat reply."

(the sorry for replying late was necessary because i replied TEN HOURS late to a supposedly URGENT message.)

and MESSAGER'S reply :

"HUH?? Bila masa pulak aku carik kau??"

Me, at this point of time, felt something amiss. So i rechecked the voicemail message to reconfirm whether i sms-ed the right person. i could have misheard who ***** really was after all. Maklumlah, aku ni kan memang naturally pekak sikit.

so, i listened again, not twice, but thrice and i was confident it was *****.

Until.....

a voice inside my head (cedebahhh) told me to check the exact time the voicemail message was left..

...and TADAH! dengan sukacitanya aku mengaku yang sememangnya aku ni kental bacin!

"Message sent at 3.51pm on Thursday, 20 October 2005 from ********."

That is like SO LAST THURSDAY!


so moral of the story is :

to avoid the overwhelming gush of paiseh-ness,

PLEASE CHECK YOUR VOICEMAIL MESSAGES WHEN NECESSARY.
THANK YOU.


and thank god i did not reply ***** with something like "eh bodoh kau nak aper?ader hal kaper??" or "ader aper lagi ni kau carik aku? bingit siak tak habes2 ceriter.."

hahaha imagine if i had replied to ***** like that?
