The word "bias" is defined as "a particular tendency or inclination, esp. one that prevents unprejudiced consideration of a question; prejudice." (Dictionary.com, 2008)
Example, if you have two cats, Upun & Ipin, you only give exceptional concern and unconditional love to Upun. Even in matters that are of no wrong at all. Let's say Upun likes to sleep under the table, which is nothing wrong at all. But when Ipin sleeps under the table, you tend to get very furious and will scold poor Ipin like an animal (pun intended).
And I think I am Ipin.
